House Concert and Workshop with Brendan Mulvihill

After claiming All-Ireland fiddle championship, in 1975, Brendan began playing with accordion player Billy McComiskey and singer/guitarist Andy O'Brien in Washington DC as "The Irish Tradition", helping to establish Irish music as a permanent and integral part of Washington's musical fabric.  In 2018, Brendan released a new CD, titled "The Journey", containing 14 tracks of Brendan's solo playing in concert and in preparation for concert.  It is his first ever solo CD; musicians wanting to learn more Irish tunes and those who just appreciate great musicianship will appreciate this CD.

In 2005 and 2018, Brendan received the Maryland Traditions folk Arts and Culture Apprenticeship Award for teaching traditional Irish music.  Inducted into the Comhaltas Ceoltori Eireann Mid-Atlantic Region Hall of Fame in 2008.
